Types of bedding
There are many types of bedding available in New Zealand and some of the most common are:
Blankets and throws
Blankets and throws are great for dressing your bed in a decorative way and also provide an extra layer to keep you warm, especially on those cold winter nights.
Mattress covers
Mattress covers protect your mattress, keeping it clean and dry. They're available in a wide range of styles and colours.
Fitted sheets
Fitted sheets are made specifically for your mattress and will fit snugly without bunching up or creating gaps at the corners of your bed. They are very user-friendly and convenient. King single sheets provide a fitted option sized for a king single mattress.
Flat sheets
Flat bed sheets are similar to fitted sheets but don't have any elasticised edges at all. Flat sheets tend not to wrinkle quite as much and can be easily ironed, folded and put away.
Comforters and quilts
Comforters are thick and fluffy blankets used as the top cover of your bedding. Alternatively, quilts are thinner decorative blankets.
